IWU Greek Life provides an array of fun activities that give us the chance to bond as sisters & meet other people from other chapters! Kappa Kappa Gamma has four dances every year - two per semester. Two of them are informals, where the freshmen and the seniors choose themes for each dance. The other two dances are semi-formal and formal respectively, where we rent out banquet halls for dinner and dancing!!
We also have other fun activities during the year such as Dad's Day, where we all spend time having dinner and going to a basketball game with our dads! We also have a babysitting night , during which we spend an evening full of various games and activities with our professors' kids.
Sisterhoods are also very exciting events that make up a major part of Kappa life. We go ice skating, bowling; we eat pizza or ice cream together and celebrate our sisters' birthdays, or we simply whip out chips & salsa and watch a major television show season premiere together in either of our big TV rooms!
During Greek Week and Homecoming, we also have Greek games, where we have the opportunity to team up and compete in various sports and other competitions. We love all the fun activities Kappa has provided us, but of course, the most important aspect of Greek life for us is how much closer Kappa has brought us together as sisters of a common fraternity!
